Jobs › Palmer, MA › Logistics Clerk Robert Half Logistics Clerk Palmer, MA Apply Description Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Clerk to support daily shipping, receiving, inventory, and transportation coordination activities. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate documentation, tracking shipments, updating records, and helping maintain efficient supply chain operations. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and track incoming and outgoing shipments Prepare shipping documents, bills of lading, packing slips, and other logistics paperwork Verify incoming materials and outgoing orders for accuracy Update inventory, shipment, and order records in internal systems Communicate with carriers, vendors, warehouse staff, and internal departments regarding shipment status and delivery schedules Assist with scheduling pickups, deliveries, and transportation services Investigate and resolve shipment discrepancies, delays, or damaged goods issues Support inventory counts and reconciliation activities Maintain organized logistics files and ensure documentation is complete and accurate Follow company procedures and safety guidelines related to shipping and receiving operations Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred 1+ years of logistics, shipping/receiving, warehouse, or supply chain support experience preferred Familiarity with shipping documentation and inventory processes Strong data entry and recordkeeping skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory, ERP, or logistics systems Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Requirements
- Previous experience in logistics, shipping and receiving, or a related operational support role.
- Working knowledge of shipping functions, including documentation, order handling, and material tracking.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfortable using basic computer systems for data entry, shipment records, and status updates.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members and transportation partners.
- Understanding of workplace safety expectations and personal security practices in an operations setting.
