PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
Perform a variety of material control functions including receiving and, stores activities as assigned. Assist in maintaining stores and accurate inventories for receipt and distribution of materials.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
In stores, receives, weighs or counts material, identifies part numbers and enters into system. Prepares and issue materials as required, through requisitions and pick lists. Maintain and replenish Kan Ban inventories in production areas Receives, weighs or counts material; checks items against purchase order and stores or delivers to assigned areas as required. Load, unload and transports materials, components and supplies using fork truck, hand truck, company vehicle, and other moving devices as required. Perform cycle counts of material, components and supplies inventory as directed. Complete all necessary paperwork, documentation and enters appropriate data into computer system as required. Uses prescribed methods to maintain quality standards. Assist in problem solving discrepancies. Maintains standard level of production output given normal level of production interference. Maintains a clean and orderly work area. Cleans and maintains equipment as required. Follows specific safety and operating procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Job requires knowledge of and adherence to safety procedures and fork truck operation. Job also requires knowledge of computer operation and material handling procedures and policies.
