Job Description

Responsible for the inventory logistics and supply management for Engineering led developments, prototype builds, and low-rate initial production (LRIP) conducted through Engineering. Operates as the liaison between Engineering and Operations to ensure materials are procured, kitted from stock, and provided to Engr. to meet scheduled activities.
Description:
Create and maintain an inventory logistics schedule to align with Engineering project schedules and demonstration events. Attend Engineering project meetings and adjust inventory schedules and prioritization of procurement, delivery, and kitting efforts, as required, to maintain alignment to project schedules. Generate Requisitions for procurement of goods. Coordinate with Procurement to ensure Purchase Orders are generated in a timely manner and the resultant dock-dates meet required material need dates and timelines. Perform clear-to-build assessments of Bills of Materials (BOM) and track material logistics using Material Requirement Planning (MRP) system, and computer-based tools (e.g., Microsoft Office suite) for schedule and inventory assessments and reporting. Aid in the identification of sources and potential alternate parts or sources for long-lead or otherwise supply-chain challenged components.
Experience:
Must have experience in Material planning with computer-based systems, including use of MRP systems. Experience with Deltek Costpoint, Integrify, and past Engineering Planner experiences a plus.
