Job Description

POSITION TITLE

LOGISTICS INTERN DEPARTMENT
: Logistics
REPORTS TO
: Manager, Logistics
HOURS/SCHEDULE
: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm (May-August, 2026)
HOURLY/SALARY STATUS
: Hourly/Non-Exempt
POSITION OVERVIEW
: The primary responsibility of the Logistics Intern is to support the Transportation Planners in their daily responsibilities. The Logistics Intern performs a variety of tasks including executing shipments via parcel and LTL carriers, preparing import/export documents and executing transactions using the ERP system, IFS. DUTIES and
RESPONSIBILITIES
: Create shipping documents including commercial invoices and packing slips Assist with staging orders when needed Request shipping quotes as needed Communicate shipping instructions to freight forwarders Run reports and print orders using the IFS system Track and trace shipments upon request Ship orders via parcel, less than truckload or truckload as needed Utilize pallet jack to load trucks

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
: High School Diploma or equivalent Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) operator's license, permit or the ability to obtain one
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
