Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Logistics & Inventory Operations Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and administering inbound and outbound logistics for underground cable and aerial reel operations. The Coordinator will serve as a key liaison between warehouses, carriers, operations teams, offshore processing partners, and accounting to ensure accurate scheduling, warehouse coordination, documentation processing, inventory reconciliation, reporting, and carrier invoice verification. This position will be based in our Canton, Michigan office and will report directly to the Operations Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments equipment, and underground cable Manage daily ETA tracking and communicate updates with warehouses and carriers Allocate and track load numbers, and Bills of Lading (BOLs) Review and process inbound documents Collection Tickets (CTs), BOLs, PODs, packing lists, weight tickets, and receivers Track equipment and cable inventory across multiple warehouse locations Coordinate reel unspooling/chopping status and empty reel availability Verify carrier invoices against BOLs, approved rates, and shipment schedules Resolve invoice discrepancies and communicate verified invoices to Accounting Review and validate daily operations and client reporting Investigate documentation, inventory, and reporting discrepancies and coordinate resolution Assist with other company programs Perform other duties as assigned or required to meet the evolving needs of the team and business
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred 3-5 years of relevant experience in logistics coordination, shipping & receiving, or supply chain operations Strong knowledge of BOLs, PODs, scheduling, inventory tracking, and warehouse workflows Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (particularly in Excel) and document management systems Experience in telecom and email communication, recycling, inventory tracking, and multi-warehouse logistics environments is preferred Experience with inventory systems or ERP platforms is preferred Prior invoice auditing or transportation billing experience is preferred Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy Possesses professional written & verbal communications, organizational and interpersonal skills Commitment to continuous improvement Excellent time management/prioritization skills with strong multitasking abilities to manage multiple deadlines in fast-paced environment Problem-solving mindset with strong ownership and personal accountability Strong ability to generate respect and trust from staff and external stakeholders along with the ability to work collaboratively with staff/colleagues to create a results-driven, team-oriented environment Strong desire to learn, develop, and expand professional skills for future leadership opportunities within Operations Administration function Working hours: This is a full-time position with typical hours from Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm. Due to the nature of our business, daily hours may vary. As such, qualified candidates must have flexibility and availability to work during the evenings and weekends, as needed.
