This role works alongside team members responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout our facility by managing shipping and receiving activities, inventory management, parts kitting and staging, and material audits, to support the efficient operation of our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working in a team environment, takes pride in accuracy and organization, and is willing to support wherever needed to help ensure materials are available for production. Experience in purchasing, inventory management, QuickBooks, or warehouse operations is a plus but not required. Key Responsibilities Shipping & Receiving Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders. Inspect incoming materials for damage, accuracy, and quality. Coordinate outbound shipments, including packaging, crating, labeling, and scheduling freight pickups. Prepare shipping documentation and maintain shipping records. Work with carriers to obtain competitive freight rates and resolve shipping issues. Inventory Management Maintain accurate inventory records and perform routine cycle counts and audits. Stock incoming materials and components in designated warehouse locations. Monitor inventory levels and assist in identifying shortages or discrepancies. Cross-check physical inventory with system records to ensure accuracy. Parts Kitting & Staging Pull, kit, and stage parts for production, assembly, service, and customer orders. Verify kit completeness and accuracy before release to production. Coordinate with Purchasing, Engineering, Assembly, and Project Management to ensure material availability. Material Receiving & Auditing Receive and verify laser-cut materials, fabricated components, painted parts, and purchased items. Audit incoming materials against drawings, work orders, and purchase orders when required. Track and communicate shortages, damaged materials, or vendor discrepancies. Warehouse & Operations Support Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely. Assist with locating parts and materials for internal departments. Support company initiatives and special projects as needed. Purchasing Support (Preferred) Assist with light purchasing activities and vendor follow-up. Help track open purchase orders and material deliveries. Communicate with vendors regarding shipment status, shortages, and delivery schedules. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse environment. Preferred Experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or inventory management. Forklift experience. Knowledge of inventory control processes. Experience with ERP systems, inventory software, or QuickBooks. Purchasing or supply chain experience. Experience reading packing slips, purchase orders, and bills of lading. Success Traits Strong sense of ownership and accountability. Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
