Logistics Specialist

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to join our team and drive excellence in supply chain operations. In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end management of logistics processes, including transportation, warehouse distribution, procurement, and inventory control. Your expertise will ensure seamless coordination across all supply chain functions, optimize costs, and enhance overall efficiency. Responsibilities Coordinate transportation planning and management using advanced transportation management systems (TMS) to ensure timely delivery of goods. Oversee warehouse operations, including inventory management, stock control, and materials handling to maximize efficiency and accuracy. Manage procurement activities by sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and overseeing purchasing processes to secure optimal pricing and terms. Utilize data analysis skills and tools such as Tableau and SQL to monitor supply chain performance metrics and identify areas for process improvement. Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL), freight carriers, NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), and vendors to streamline shipping & receiving operations. Conduct root cause analysis for supply chain disruptions or inefficiencies, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Support demand planning, production scheduling, and inventory forecasting using ERP systems like SAP or AS400 to maintain optimal stock levels. Requirements Proven experience in supply chain management, warehouse distribution, or logistics roles with a strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control. Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS), ERP platforms (such as SAP or AS400), and data collection tools like SQL. Knowledge of procurement processes, category management, vendor management, and contract negotiations. Ability to perform analysis skills including root cause analysis, process improvement initiatives, and supply chain analytics. Mechanical knowledge or experience operating equipment such as forklifts is preferred; certification is a plus. Strong negotiation skills combined with excellent communication abilities for sourcing and supplier management. Familiarity with e-commerce logistics, freight forwarding (including NVOCC), shipping & receiving procedures, and demand planning methodologies. Demonstrated ability to handle materials management tasks such as stocking, materials handling, and inventory accuracy within warehouse environments. Pay:

$25.10 - $30.23 per hour
