Job Description

Job Summary The Logistics Administrator is responsible for supporting daily office operations with a focus on customer order processing, logistics coordination, and customer communication. This role ensures accurate order entry, timely shipments, and effective resolution of delivery-related issues. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and highly responsive in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Order Management
  • Accurately enter and process customer orders in company systems
  • Review orders for accuracy and delivery requirements
  • Send order confirmations and communicate order updates to customers Logistics & Transportation Coordination
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound trucking schedules
  • Schedule pickups and deliveries to meet deadlines
  • Track shipments and address delays or late trucks
  • Communicate with carriers to resolve issues Customer Communication
  • Respond to customer emails and inquiries promptly
  • Investigate and resolve shipment discrepancies (shortages, damages, delays)
  • Provide shipment status updates and confirmations
  • Maintain professional customer relationships Customer Service Support (Backup)
  • Provide backup support for customer service functions during peak periods or staff absences
  • Assist with customer inquiries, issue resolution, and communication as needed
  • Support continuity of service by ensuring timely responses and follow-up Administrative Support
  • Maintain accurate records of orders, shipments, and communications
  • Support filing, reporting, and office coordination tasks
  • Collaborate with operations, warehouse, and sales teams Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma required; Associate or Bachelor degree preferred
  • 2+ years of administrative, logistics, or customer service experience
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Experience with ERP or order systems preferred Working Conditions Office-based role with standard business hours and occasional flexibility required for urgent shipping issues.
Pay:
$48,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year
