Full Job Description Position Overview:
Celadon Systems is a premier, high-tech manufacturing company. We design and build ultra-high-performance semiconductor test equipment. Unlike massive warehouse environments, our facility is a small, specialized, high-tech space. We handle high-value, small-scale parts that require meticulous care rather than heavy machinery. We are seeking a highly detailed Shipping & Receiving Specialist to handle international and domestic logistics for our custom, engineered-to-order products. The ideal candidate is an administrative-minded logistics professional who thrives on accuracy, compliance, and professional communication.
International and Domestic Shipping Customer Communication:
Act as a professional point of contact for customers to coordinate delivery logistics, provide tracking, or resolve transit updates.
Secure Packaging:
Transfer high-tech products from our clean room into vacuum-sealed bags and package them securely for transit.
Close jobs:
Issue physical parts and log labor hours accurately to officially close out completed tickets within the ERP/MRP system.
Carrier Management:
Set up daily shipments via UPS, DHL, FedEx, and motor freight using online shipper portals.
Customs & Compliance:
Complete precise documentation for global shipments and interface directly with Customs to resolve clearance issues.
Logistics Admin:
Generate packing lists and input tracking details into our ERP system.
Receiving Inspection:
Unpack incoming materials and verify items against purchase orders to ensure 100% accuracy
System Logging:
Process and log received goods accurately into our ERP system to maintain real-time inventory visibility.
Maintain cross-functional flow:
Coordinate with purchasing and production supervisors to prioritize the unpacking of critical "hot" parts.
Inventory Control Backup:
Cross-train:
Provide seamless backup coverage for the primary Inventory Control person during breaks and scheduled PTO.
Qualifications:
Experience:
2+ years of dedicated shipping and receiving experience (Required).
International Logistics:
Proven experience handling international customs paperwork and global carriers (Required).
Tech Savvy:
Proficiency with MS Office and ERP/MRP systems.
Core Skills:
Meticulous attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and professional communication habits.
Physical Ability:
Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. and working in a small, fast-paced shipping footprint.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
