Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to join our supply chain team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the movement of goods, managing warehouse operations, and ensuring seamless transportation and distribution processes. Your expertise will help enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall supply chain performance. Responsibilities Coordinate warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, and materials handling to optimize storage and transportation efficiency. Utilize transportation management systems and ERP systems to plan routes, schedule shipments, and monitor freight movements. Conduct root cause analysis on logistics issues, identify process improvements, and implement solutions to enhance operational performance. Manage vendor relationships through effective supplier management, negotiations on pricing and contracts, and category management strategies. Supervise warehouse management system (WMS) operations and ensure accurate inventory control through data collection, analysis skills, and inventory management best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production planning, procurement, and customer service to support order fulfillment and supply chain analytics. Skills Extensive knowledge of supply chain management principles including transportation planning, freight forwarding (NVOCC), and demand forecasting. Hands-on experience with warehouse experience including stocking, materials handling, shipping & receiving, and warehouse management systems (WMS). Technical proficiency in ERP systems and familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) is a plus. Ability to perform process improvement initiatives using tools like root cause analysis; mechanical knowledge is advantageous. Excellent negotiation skills for procurement activities; experience with vendor management and contracts is essential. Familiarity with e-commerce logistics processes including order fulfillment, inventory control, and supply chain analytics. Valid forklift certification; experience with materials management equipment such as forklifts or mechanical handling tools preferred. Strong analysis skills for demand planning, pricing strategies, procurement sourcing, and supply chain optimization efforts. Pay:
$26.27 - $31.64 per hour
