Job Description
Join our team as a Senior Logistics Coordinator, Driver Success & Dispatch and play a critical role in executing daily transportation operations. This position is responsible for route planning, dispatch execution, driver support, and real-time problem resolution to ensure on-time delivery performance and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate combines strong transportation experience with a passion for supporting drivers, optimizing routes, and solving operational challenges in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Plan, assign, and optimize daily delivery routes to maximize efficiency and service performance. Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, providing communication, support, and issue resolution. Monitor route progress and proactively address delays, breakdowns, customer requests, and service disruptions. Build strong relationships with drivers while promoting safety, compliance, and operational excellence. Coordinate with Operations, Customer Service, and Customers to ensure successful delivery execution. Track and report key performance indicators including on-time delivery, route efficiency, driver satisfaction, and customer service metrics. Analyze operational data and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Support driver compensation reviews, route adjustments, and operational planning as needed. Key Competencies Ownership mentality Driver-focused leadership Strong communication and relationship-building skills Problem-solving and critical thinking Data-driven decision making Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment Availability of being on-call one night per week and one Saturday every 6-8 weeks Work shift: 6am - 3pm CST Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience considered. 5+ years of dispatch, transportation, logistics, fleet operations, routing, or supply chain experience. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional service levels. Experience coordinating drivers, managing transportation schedules, and resolving real-time operational challenges. Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS), routing software, GPS platforms, and Microsoft Office. Working knowledge of DOT regulations, transportation compliance, and driver safety standards preferred. Experience with KPI reporting, operational analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives preferred. Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally by vehicle to customer and company locations as needed (less than 10% travel). Ability to work flexible hours as business needs require.
