Job Description

Logistics Coordinator 1.5 1.5 out of 5 stars Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating transportation, managing warehouse distribution, and ensuring efficient procurement processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency with ERP systems, and the ability to collaborate with vendors and internal teams to streamline logistics activities. The Logistics Coordinator will play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, reducing costs, and improving overall supply chain performance. Duties Manage end-to-end supply chain processes including procurement, inventory control, and demand planning Coordinate transportation management systems (TMS) and freight logistics to ensure timely delivery of goods Oversee warehouse management activities such as stocking, shipping & receiving, and materials handling Utilize data analysis skills and SQL to collect, analyze, and report on supply chain metrics and root cause analysis for process improvements Negotiate contracts with vendors and 3PL providers to optimize pricing and service levels Implement process improvements using supply chain analytics to enhance efficiency and reduce costs Manage procurement activities including sourcing, category management, and vendor management Utilize warehouse management system (WMS) and ERP platforms like AS400 or SAP for inventory management and order fulfillment Coordinate dispatching, transportation planning, and NVOCC operations for international shipments Monitor supply chain performance metrics related to profit & loss, inventory levels, and supplier management Ensure compliance with safety standards such as forklift operation and mechanical knowledge requirements Skills Strong proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, AS400), warehouse management systems (WMS), and transportation management systems (TMS) Expertise in supply chain management, procurement, sourcing, and category management Advanced data analysis skills including SQL, data collection techniques, and supply chain analytics Experience with warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, inventory control, and materials handling Knowledge of freight forwarding, NVOCC operations, demand planning, production planning, and inventory management Excellent negotiation skills for vendor contracts and procurement activities Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment such as forklifts is a plus Ability to analyze complex data sets for root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives Familiarity with e-commerce logistics, profit & loss analysis, contracts management, and vendor relations Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to our supply chain efficiency while working within a dynamic team dedicated to operational excellence.
