We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Billing Assistant to support our growing operations team. This is an in-office independent contractor 1099 position focused on mileage calculation, POD review, data entry, and billing support tasks. Position Overview The Logistics Billing Assistant will be responsible for reviewing completed delivery paperwork, calculating route mileage, organizing PODs (Proof of Delivery), and accurately entering operational and billing-related data into company spreadsheets and systems. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, efficient with data entry, and comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics environment. Responsibilities Review and organize PODs (Proof of Delivery) Calculate route mileage for completed deliveries and pickups of freight Enter data into Excel spreadsheets Verify accuracy of operational paperwork and documentation Maintain organized digital and physical records Assist with invoicing and contractor payout preparation Communicate with dispatch and management regarding missing or incorrect documentation Support day-to-day administrative logistics operations Requirements Strong attention to detail and accuracy Experience with Microsoft Excel and data entry Basic computer and organizational skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced office environment Reliable transportation and punctual attendance Strong communication skills Prior logistics, transportation, dispatch, or billing experience preferred Position Details Independent Contractor (1099) In-office position 30 hours per week Monday-Friday schedule Compensation $20-$25 per hour depending on experience Preferred Qualifications Experience in freight/logistics operations Familiarity with PODs, BOLs, invoicing, or mileage calculations Previous administrative or billing support experience
