Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Buchheit Logistics, a carrier of dry bulk and finished goods, is seeking a safety-minded, results-driven Logistics Maintenance Shop Data Entry Clerk. The Logistics Maintenance Shop Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining maintenance, inventory, and logistics records within company databases and management systems. This role supports maintenance operations by ensuring data accuracy, tracking work orders, processing documentation, and assisting with inventory and equipment records.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Enter and update maintenance work orders, repair records, and service histories into computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). 2. Utilize the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to enter, update, and maintain maintenance, inventory, purchasing, and logistics data, ensuring accurate records and timely reporting across departments. 3. Maintain accurate records of equipment inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities. 4. Input inventory transactions, parts usage, and stock levels into inventory management systems. 5. Review documents for accuracy and completeness before data entry. 6. Generate reports related to maintenance activities, inventory status, and equipment performance. 7. Assist with filing, scanning, and organizing maintenance and logistics documentation. 8. Track and update purchase orders, invoices, and vendor information. 9. Coordinate with maintenance technicians, supervisors, and logistics personnel to verify information. 10. Identify and correct data discrepancies and maintain data integrity. 11. Support compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. 12. Other duties as assigned or directed
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
1. Previous data entry, administrative, logistics, or maintenance support experience preferred. 2. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. 3. Experience with CMMS, ERP, inventory control procedures, or logistics software is a plus. 4. Knowledge of fleet, warehouse, or maintenance operations is preferred. 5. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. 6. Strong organizational and time-management skills. 7. Ability to handle confidential information appropriately. 8. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
