Job Summary:
Under direct supervision, the Transportation Assistant receives incoming customer service calls from parents and school administrators and aids staff members in resolving issues with school transportation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with customer service calls and complaints. Respond to routine telephone request. Maintain recurring internal reports and records as needed. Establish and maintain office files as needed. Manually audit, prepare and process invoices for billing of daily transportation routes. Audit monthly and yearly mileage. Prepare contractor corrections submitted on a daily basis for approval. Maintains constant communications with contractor billing clerks to insure all information is accurate and complete before invoicing. Communicate professionally and effectively with school officials, contractors and company personnel to resolve relative issues. Assist routing and activity staff with ordering of services. Sets example of professional behavior by maintaining the proper attitude, dress and
TEAMWORK.
Also sets behavior with standards at/or above that of the client. Search for ways to improve the company, its workplace, and informing management of these suggestions. Promoting teamwork, trust, good will, and the company in its efforts to patrons and team members. Basing every action and decision upon common sense and good judgments. Obey all Federal, State, Local laws and the "policies and guidelines" of TransPar Complete special projects as assigned. Routes activities and works with routers to ensure that all activities are routed in the most time/cost efficient manner. Handles problems that districts may have regarding school activities and late modifications to team roosters. Prepare reports as required. Ability for light travel to contractor and school locations will be necessary All other duties as assigned by
Management Required Skills/Abilities:
Progressive computer skills. Strong Microsoft Office knowledge, including Outlook, Word, and Excel Excellent communications, public relations skills. Must be able to work in a small team environment. The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud Attend work on a regular and dependable basis Ability to successfully pass state and/or federal required Background Checks Ability to perform the essential functions of the job Ability to comply with all policies and procedures established by company
Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent At least two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
