This vacancy is for a GS-0346-14, Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, COAST
GUARD AVIATION PROJECTS ACQUISITION CENTER -APAC

CITY, North Carolina. This is a term appointment not to exceed 09/30/2029.
Qualifications:
To qualify at the GS- 14 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Resume MUST demonstrate that you meet the specialized experience. Specialized experience must include the following: Resume reflects at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level with the ability to manage a staff of supply/inventory/finance workers. Resume must demonstrate experience suitable to oversee the individual performance documentation of Active Duty, Civilian and Contract workforce. Resume reflects at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level with knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of logistics management operations. Resume reflects at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level with the ability & knowledge of a wide range of logistics systems, concepts, and principles sufficient to plan for resource requirements (e.g., manpower, budgets, technical data, and equipment) to support projects throughout the life cycle. Resume reflects at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level with knowledge of pertinent laws, policies, regulations, and precedents affecting the use of program and support resources and related to the development and performance of logistics management operations. Resume reflects a demonstrated ability to earn the below required credentials per the Position description, which are essential to effectively achieve the above stated MJRs. Applicants with documented prior certifications in these categories (including at lower levels and in complementary categories such as Program Management, Test and Evaluation, Systems Engineering, etc.) should be considered to reflect positively for applicants experience, skill and capacity.
Other Significant Factors/Conditions of Employment:
Incumbent is expected to obtain/maintain and applicants are encouraged to provide documentation of prior completion of any of the below requirements for consideration: - Contracting Officers Representative (COR) Level III within 12 Months of Hire - DHS Lifecycle Logistics Level III professional acquisitions certification requirements within 18 months of assignment
NOTE:
Education can not be substituted for experience at this grade level. National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule, C, Non-career SES or Presidential Appointee employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the Human Resources Office.
