Job Description

Turn Your Attention to Detail into Income Every vehicle we purchase represents an investment. At IMPEX Auto Sales, we are looking for two highly motivated professionals to serve as the first line of defense in protecting that investment. This is not a traditional inventory position. We are seeking individuals who can identify problems, challenge inaccurate vehicle representations, negotiate successful arbitration claims, and help recover thousands of dollars in acquisition costs every month. Position Summary The Vehicle Acquisition, Arbitration & Logistics Specialist is responsible for inspecting incoming auction purchases, identifying undisclosed damage or condition issues, managing auction arbitration claims, and coordinating vehicle transportation nationwide. This position plays a critical role in ensuring IMPEX receives exactly what was purchased and recovers funds when vehicles are not accurately represented. Auction Experience Highly Preferred Successful candidates will ideally have previous experience working with automotive auctions, including: Buying or evaluating vehicles from major auctions Reviewing auction Condition Reports (CRs) Understanding arbitration policies and deadlines Working with auction representatives Evaluating transportation and post-sale damage claims Identifying frame, body, paint, mechanical, and reconditioning issues Negotiating arbitration settlements and purchase price adjustments Experience with major automotive auction platforms is considered a significant advantage.

Primary Responsibilities Vehicle Receiving & Inspection Receive and inspect all incoming auction purchases immediately upon arrival.
Conduct thorough evaluations for:
Undisclosed damage Transportation-related damage Mechanical concerns Cosmetic defects Missing equipment or accessories Review auction Condition Reports (CRs) and determine whether vehicle condition was accurately represented. Compare actual vehicle condition against auction listings, announcements, and disclosures. Thoroughly document findings through photographs, videos, and written reports. Communicate inspection findings to management promptly. Auction Arbitration Management Initiate and manage arbitration claims with auction partners. Investigate discrepancies between vehicle condition and auction representations.
Negotiate:
Purchase price reductions Repair reimbursements Transportation damage claims Vehicle returns when warranted Maintain complete documentation throughout the arbitration process. Serve as the primary liaison between IMPEX and auction representatives. Ensure all arbitration deadlines and requirements are met. Vehicle Transportation & Logistics Coordinate transportation of vehicles nationwide. Schedule and monitor inbound and outbound shipments. Work closely with transportation providers to ensure timely delivery. Resolve transportation delays, damage claims, and logistical challenges. Maintain transportation records and tracking information. Cross-Department Coordination Work closely with Sales, Service, Reconditioning, and Management teams. Communicate vehicle status updates and arbitration outcomes. Assist in prioritizing inventory flow and vehicle readiness. Help ensure vehicles move efficiently from acquisition to frontline-ready status. Compensation Structure Hourly Wage + Performance Incentive This position offers a unique compensation plan designed to reward individuals who directly impact company profitability.
Compensation includes:
Competitive hourly wage Performance-based arbitration incentive In addition to hourly compensation, employees will earn a percentage of funds recovered through successful arbitration efforts, including: Purchase price reductions Repair reimbursements Transportation claim recoveries Other auction-approved financial adjustments The more money you recover for the company, the more money you earn.
