A well-established manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Supply Chain & Planning Manager to lead production planning, purchasing, inventory management, and scheduling functions. What You'll Be Responsible For As the Supply Chain & Planning Manager, you'll oversee the daily planning and purchasing functions while serving as a key member of the operations leadership team.
Responsibilities include:
Lead production planning and scheduling activities to support customer demand. Develop daily and weekly manufacturing schedules while adjusting priorities as business needs change. Monitor inventory levels and material availability to support uninterrupted production. Partner with purchasing to ensure suppliers meet delivery expectations and material requirements. Evaluate forecasts, inventory trends, and production requirements to improve planning accuracy. Recommend improvements that reduce excess inventory while maintaining service levels. Maintain ERP/MRP planning data including lead times, inventory parameters, and planning accuracy. Develop KPI reporting that measures supply chain and planning performance. Collaborate with operations, engineering, production, shipping, and sales to resolve scheduling and material challenges. Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning, purchasing, inventory control, and communication across departments. Coach and develop employees while promoting accountability and teamwork. • What We're Looking For Successful candidates will possess: Seven or more years of experience in supply chain, production planning, purchasing, scheduling, or inventory management within manufacturing. Previous leadership or supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel. Experience managing production schedules, inventory levels, and supplier performance. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
