Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dental Schedule Coordinator to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient appointments, coordinating schedules, and ensuring smooth administrative operations within the clinic. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in practice management software(eaglesoft), and a solid understanding of dental terminology and office procedures. The Dental Schedule Coordinator plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient service and supporting the clinical team to maintain efficient workflow. Duties Manage and coordinate patient appointment scheduling using Eaglesoft. Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification processes to facilitate patient billing and claims processing. Review and update medical and dental records accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with documentation review, Handle incoming calls with professional phone etiquette, multi-line phone systems, and provide excellent patient service at the front desk. Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, appointment changes, and care plans within the office management system. Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and managing medical records. Collaborate with clinical staff to optimize scheduling efficiency while maintaining high standards of patient care. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations related to health information management and medical office procedures. Qualifications Prior experience in dental or medical office administration is preferred; clinic or dental clinic experience is highly desirable. Experience with systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or open dential is perferred but not required. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), typing (10 key typing), and familiarity with health information management software. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and record keeping. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards related to patient information. Demonstrated customer service skills with a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
