Aug 13, 2026 Job Description Date Posted May 18, 2026 Position EC Safety Attendant, Transportation Department Temporary, part-time, up to 4 hours per day, 10-month position Position Available August 13, 2026 Reports To Transportation Coordinator Salary / FLSA / Non-Exempt Grade 58 ($16.07 - $21.69 per hour) The salary for this position is based upon the successful applicant's years of service in the NC State Retirement System in the same or similar position. Experience outside of this system is not recognized for pay purposes. For current Lincoln County School employees, this position will be paid according to the current Lincoln County Schools' pay scale. Qualifications/Requirements/Duties High School Diploma or equivalent Must be able to pass a drug test, background check, and TB test before starting employment. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision once the job is learned Must be able to perform very heavy work exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to lift objects Ability to follow written and oral instructions Ability to read, write and keep records Ability to perform simple calculations Other duties as assigned Application Deadline Open Until Filled Application Process All candidates are required to complete an on-line application via Applicant Tracking.
