Job Description

- the global leader in opening solutions, is a Shipping & Scheduling Manager to lead our shipping operations and support production scheduling at our Mocksville, NC plant. This hands-on leadership role is critical to ensuring customer orders are shipped safely, accurately, and on time—while also translating customer demand into achievable production schedules. This position serves as a key coordination point between Shipping, Production, Sales, Customer Service, and Supply Chain, driving operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement across the plant. What You'll Do Shipping & Logistics Leadership Lead and support daily shipping operations, ensuring proper staffing and dock execution. Coordinate carrier pickups across parcel, LTL, FTL, and expedited freight. Ensure accurate picking, packing, labeling, and loading to standard work. Oversee shipping documentation, including BOLs, packing lists, and labels. Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, damages, or shortages. Partner with Customer Service on delivery issues, priority shipments, and reshipments. Track and report shipping KPIs; lead root-cause problem solving and improvement efforts. Production Scheduling Translate customer demand, sales orders, and forecasts into achievable production schedules. Create, release, and maintain work orders in the ERP/MRP system. Sequence work to optimize flow, reduce changeovers, and balance capacity and labor. Monitor production progress and adjust schedules for downtime, labor, material, or quality issues. Analyze capacity constraints and partner with Production, Maintenance, and Engineering to mitigate risks. Participate in daily and weekly scheduling and production meetings. Track and analyze schedule adherence, on-time delivery, backlog, and trends. Safety, Quality & Continuous Improvement Enforce safety policies and ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and shipping requirements. Promote safe work practices, proper equipment use, and strong housekeeping standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready shipping environment using 5S principles. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to lead time, planning, and material flow. What You Bring Required Qualifications High School Diploma or
GED. 3-5
years of experience in scheduling, production planning, shipping, or similar operations roles. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Comfortable working on the shop floor and engaging with teams daily. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Experience using ERP/MRP and inventory systems. Prior leadership or supervisory experience.
