Responsibilities and Duties (•Essential Functions) To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily. Maintains a safe and orderly learning environment Instructs and guides the class in an efficient and effective manner Maintains accurate records of student work and attendance Prepares thoroughly for each instructional hour Grades and returns student work in a timely manner Counsels students regarding their grades and progress in the course Assists with establishing goals and objectives for assigned courses; provides course feedback and recommendations to the Program Director, SCM Remains up to date on technology and methods of teaching with technology Uses assessment techniques to improve learning and teaching Must complete all mandatory adjunct and institutional directed training as assigned by the college. Attends professional development opportunities when possible Attends meetings scheduled by the Program Director, SCM Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to teach online and/or seated classes as assigned Computer skills using basic functions of MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and Outlook and proficient in MS Excel with excellent spreadsheet and calculation skills Ability to use a wide variety of teaching methods to promote learning Be innovative, creative, and motivated Ability to exhibit good interpersonal skills and work well with others Ability to maintain records accurately and be able to meet deadlines consistently Ability to complete EPIC training Knowledge of and facility with technology and software including, computers, and web-based resources such as Blackboard/Canvas Ability to perform normal duties with minimal supervision Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Skilled in proofreading, grammar correction, punctuation, and spelling for written assignments Excellent organizational skills Demonstrates resourcefulness, initiative, enthusiasm, and a sincere interest in helping students reach their maximum potential Ability to learn ERP systems such as
SAP S/4HANA
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field 5 years' industry experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Logistics, or Distribution 2 years' experience in classroom instruction, on-line or in person Experience grading writing assignments for content, grammar, spelling and punctuation
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field institution 7-10 years of industry experience in the Supply Chain Management field Community College teaching experience Online teaching experience Online grading experience Involvement in professional logistics and/or supply chain management organizations Professional Certification(s) Institutional Competencies As an equal employment opportunity employer, Wake Tech values our workforce.
