We Make Doors - Where they lead is up to you… Who we are VPI Quality Windows is a commercial division of JELD-WEN, Inc. that focuses on manufacturing windows and patio doors for multi-family construction with a particular focus on apartments, dormitories, senior living, and hotels. Job Overview The Senior Shipper & Receiver plays a critical role in supporting the Shipping team by ensuring on-time delivery performance and effective coordination between production and logistics partners. This role leverages systems such as CIM, Cantor, SharePoint, Remote Desktop, and Microsoft 365 to maintain accurate data, streamline communication, and support daily shipping operations. Principal Job Duties and Responsibilities Utilize CIM, Cantor, SharePoint, Remote Desktop, and Microsoft 365 to manage and track shipping activities. Coordinate production schedules with carriers to ensure timely pickup and delivery. Assign carriers and manage transportation logistics based on shipment priorities. Ensure all updates to delivery and pickup dates are accurately reflected in Cantor and communicated to the Shipping team Update and maintain the Backorder Summary. Update Team Guru and ensure data accuracy across systems. Prepare and distribute the daily Shipping Summary report. Track and report OTIF (On Time In Full) and OTD (On Time Delivery) metrics. Maintain and update the Freight Dataset. Update the current day Call List prior to the daily meeting. Distribute the updated Call List following the meeting. Communicate proactively with customers and carriers regarding changes to pickup or delivery schedules. Respond to customer and carrier inquiries via phone and email in a timely, professional manner. Create crating labels (priority) to support outbound shipments. Collaborate with production and shipping teams to ensure alignment on schedules and priorities. Operate independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high accuracy. Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Identify and resolve issues related to shipping schedules, data discrepancies, or carrier coordination. Promote continuous improvement in processes and communication workflows. Working Conditions Manufacturing and office areas are climate controlled. Advancement opportunities: promoting from within is prioritized. Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50lbs throughout the shift. Standing/walking 10 hours per day. Ability to lift 25-50 pounds regularly, occasionally team lift up to 75 pounds Must be able to work overtime as required. Be able to read and understand all paperwork and labels associated with production schedules. Maintains the work area in a clean, orderly fashion. Must perform any other tasks assigned by Manager. Required Skills and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required. 2-3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or manufacturing support preferred. Experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft 365 tools strongly preferred. Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment with cross-functional partners. About
