GMBI supports the growing electric vehicle supply chain by recovering valuable materials from battery production scrap and preparing them for recycling. Our operations help create a circular battery economy while maintaining the highest standards of safety, operational excellence, and environmental responsibility. Position Summary The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for planning, scheduling, and executing inbound and outbound logistics. This role ensures safe, compliant and cost-effective transportation of feed and finish goods materials, while supporting plant operations and maintaining regularity compliance (DOT, EPA, OSHA). Key Responsibilities Prepare and coordinate inbound shipments from suppliers and customers. Prepare and coordinate outbound shipments in accordance with customer and carrier requirements Verify shipping documentation for hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with
DOT, EPA, OSHA
Track inbound & outbound shipments and resolve delays or discrepancies Support cycle counts, inventory audits, and warehouse organization Source and manage carriers Evaluate carrier performance and maintain relationship with logistics providers and brokers Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics efficiency and reduce inbound/outbound transportation and operational costs. Maintain logistics KPI's Use Systems to track shipments and inventory Communicate and collaborate with production team Qualifications Bachelor's Degree 3+ years of logistics experience (hazardous materials preferred) Knowledge of Hazardous Materials regulations (DOT, IATA, IMDG) Experience with Waste Manifests and environmental compliance preferred Experience with inventory tracking or warehouse management systems preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication and teamwork skills Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a manufacturing environment. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and occasionally heavier loads with assistance. Work Environment Manufacturing and industrial recycling environment with moving equipment and mechanical processes. Employees must follow all safety requirements including PPE such as safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hard hats, and respirators when required.
Pay:
$23.00 - $30.01 per hour
