Job Description

Company Background:
Crete Core Ingredients, Inc., is a lead supplier of ingredients to the pet food industry. We are currently recruiting for a highly motivated and detail orientated individual to fill our Transportation Logistics Coordinator. The qualified candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. As part of this role, the individual will be responsible for dispatching freight, customer and carrier communication, and the continual tracking and tracing of outbound shipments from our Crete, NE production and distribution facilities. The qualified candidate must have experience in customer service and be willing to work in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for scheduling and dispatching carriers Track & Trace all load assignments to ensure pick-up and delivery of time-sensitive freight Negotiate rates with carriers Procure transportation capacity and foster relationships Continually monitor progress of freight Willingness to collaborate with other members of the organization Willingness to have on-call availability and weekends
Requirements:
A strong understanding of the transportation industry and DOT regulations Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of both customer and carrier organizations Demonstrate follow-up skills Problem solving and strong organizational skills with attention to detail Highly motivated with an ability to work independently as well as in a group setting Knowledge of transportation software and MS office a plus Must have dispatching experience
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent Minimum of 1-3 years dispatching experience
