Production Planner I (Final Assembly)
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm Facility location: Charlestown, NH Position Summary We are seeking a Production Planner to support daily operations by managing production priorities, coordinating schedules, and ensuring alignment across materials, labor, and equipment. This role plays a key part in keeping production running smoothly and on schedule. The Production Planner will work closely with production, purchasing, and cross-functional teams to anticipate and address potential constraints, maintain workflow efficiency, and support on-time delivery. Success in this role comes from strong organization, clear communication, and the ability to proactively identify and resolve issues. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced environment that requires adaptability, attention to detail, and a practical approach to keeping operations on track.
Details:
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and adjust daily production schedules. Release work orders to support production flow and demands. Monitor requirements and maintain inventory levels and material availability. Track production progress and proactively resolve bottlenecks or delays. Review backorders and ensure order requirements are met. Assist with inventory corrections and adjustments on the floor. Maintain continuous communication and coordination with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and other Planners. Maintain continuous communication and coordination with production supervisors and floor managers to align priorities and execution. Analyze data to forecast capacity needs and improve workflow efficiency Maintain accurate records within
ERP/MRP/WIM
systems. Participate in and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field preferred, but not required. Prior experience in production planning, scheduling, or a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred. Solid understanding of supply chain, inventory management, and production workflows. Experience working with ERP/MRP systems. (such as SAP, Oracle, Epicor, or similar) Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions. Effective communication skills with the ability to work across teams and departments. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Self-motivated with a proactive approach and a desire for continued growth.
