Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic logistics team as a Logistics Coordinator and become a vital driver of supply chain excellence! In this energetic role, you will orchestrate the seamless movement of goods, oversee inventory accuracy, and optimize warehouse and transportation operations. Your proactive approach will ensure timely deliveries, efficient warehouse distribution, and cost-effective procurement processes. Responsibilities Coordinate supply chain activities including transportation management, freight scheduling, and order fulfillment to meet delivery deadlines. Manage inventory levels through effective inventory control, demand planning, and warehouse management system (WMS) oversight. Oversee warehouse operations such as picking & packing, materials handling, shipping & receiving, and warehouse distribution to maximize efficiency. Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to ensure optimal purchasing strategies and category management. Utilize transportation management systems (TMS), ERP systems like AS400 or similar platforms for dispatching, fleet management, and data analysis. Implement process improvements across logistics workflows to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve service quality. Maintain accurate records of freight movements, carriers and 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) partnerships while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Skills Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles including procurement, sourcing, demand planning, and operations management. Proficiency in inventory management techniques and warehouse experience with materials handling equipment such as forklifts. Expertise in transportation planning, freight coordination, shipping & receiving procedures, and dispatching. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), ERP platforms like AS400 or equivalent, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). Excellent data analysis skills to interpret supply chain analytics and identify opportunities for process optimization. Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams including procurement, warehouse staff, carriers, and vendors. Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in inventory control and pricing strategies.
