Supply Chain Specialist Tailored Search Newark, NJ Job Details Contract $130,000 - $150,000 a year 3 hours ago Qualifications Bachelor's degree Supply chain management solutions (enterprise solutions) Full Job Description Supply Chain Specialist The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for supporting and executing supply chain activities to ensure the efficient flow of materials, inventory, and finished goods throughout the manufacturing process. This role works cross-functionally with procurement, production, warehouse, logistics, and customer service teams to maintain material availability, optimize inventory levels, and support on-time customer deliveries. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Monitor and manage inventory levels to support production requirements. Analyze material requirements and coordinate replenishment activities. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components. Create, review, and track purchase orders and supplier commitments. Support production planning by ensuring material availability and identifying potential shortages. Maintain accurate inventory and supply chain records within ERP systems. Monitor supply chain performance and identify opportunities for process improvements. Coordinate logistics activities, including inbound and outbound shipments. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, delivery issues, and supply interruptions. Analyze supply chain data and prepare reports on inventory, supplier performance, and operational metrics. Work closely with internal departments to align supply chain activities with business objectives. Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs. QualificationsEducation Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Experience 3+ years of experience in supply chain, inventory management, procurement, logistics, or manufacturing operations. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms. Skills and Competencies Strong understanding of supply chain processes and inventory management. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis. Experience using SAP or other ERP systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Preferred Qualifications
APICS/ASCM
certifications such as CPIM or CSCP. Experience with demand planning and forecasting. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods. Occasional visits to manufacturing and warehouse areas.
Pay:
$130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
