The Clean Transportation Fuel Program Associate Specialist helps support New Mexico's Clean Transportation Fuel Program (CTFP) by providing user support, guidance document development, and data management and auditing for its online reporting data management system, called the Application, Reporting, and Compliance System (ARCS). The position also provides programmatic support to the Climate Change Bureau (CCB or Bureau) and the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) in developing, implementing, and monitoring policies, projects and programs that will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 45% by 2030 compared to 2005 levels and to net zero by 2050. How does it get done? Help ensure that regulated and voluntary parties correctly report their in-state transportation fuel imports and production on a quarterly and annual basis Use organizational and program management skills to ensure timely, accurate, and verifiable reporting of transportation fuels in New Mexico Support ARCS users with navigating, reporting and troubleshooting Collaborate with the team to develop and improve the Clean Transportation Fuel Program processes, guidelines, and rules Who are the customers? New Mexicans to protect and restore the environment Occasional contact with external Federal, State and Local regulatory bodies as well as contractors and environmental not for profit organizations Internal staff Ideal Candidate New Mexicans to protect and restore the environment Occasional contact with external Federal, State and Local regulatory bodies as well as contractors and environmental not for profit organizations Internal staff Minimum Qualification Bachelor's Degree in Physical, Natural, or Environmental Science, Soil Science, or Engineering. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education and experience. Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Working Conditions Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal and extensive personal computer and phone usage.
