Inventory Tender Astoria, NY 11103 From $20 an hour - Full-time From $20 an hour - Full-time Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory Tender to join our dynamic supply chain team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the procurement and management of inventory tenders, ensuring optimal stock levels, cost efficiency, and supplier collaboration. Your expertise will drive process improvements, enhance data-driven decision-making, and support seamless warehouse operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence inventory strategies and contribute to the overall success of our logistics and supply chain functions. Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end process of inventory tendering, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating terms, and managing contracts to secure competitive pricing and favorable conditions. Analyze demand forecasts, sales data, and market trends using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Nielsen to inform procurement decisions and optimize inventory levels. Collaborate with warehouse management teams to coordinate stocking schedules, materials handling, and order fulfillment processes aligned with supply chain analytics. Utilize ERP systems such as SAP, AS400, or similar platforms for data collection, inventory control, and procurement tracking. Conduct root cause analysis on supply chain disruptions or inventory discrepancies to implement corrective actions and improve process efficiency. Manage supplier relationships through regular performance reviews, sourcing evaluations, and contract negotiations to ensure reliable delivery and quality standards. Support demand planning initiatives by leveraging data analytics skills for forecasting accuracy and inventory optimization strategies. Requirements Proven experience in supply chain management, warehouse distribution, or inventory control within a fast-paced environment. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to develop strategic sourcing plans and manage supplier contracts effectively. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar platforms for data visualization and reporting. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems (like SAP or AS400), and materials handling equipment including forklift operation certification preferred. Excellent analytical skills with a focus on root cause analysis, process improvement, and demand planning. Familiarity with logistics concepts including shipping & receiving, 3PL providers, order fulfillment, and materials management. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and handle materials safely within warehouse environments.
