Job Description

This role is critical in ensuring that locations experiencing staffing gaps due to absences, vacancies, or increased operational demand continue to function without disruption. This position supports the receipt, storage, organization, and distribution of materials and supplies, while maintaining accurate inventory records and assisting with cycle count activities. In addition, the floater provides support to larger developments and high-volume locations where additional staffing is required to maintain operational standards. This role is integral to maintaining consistency across storeroom operations, ensuring inventory accuracy, and supporting timely material distribution across multiple locations. • Assist at larger developments as needed.

  • Pack, unpack, count, weigh, and measure materials, supplies and equipment. Load and unload at storage facilities and at points of pick-up, delivery or distribution. May travel to point of pick-up, delivery or distribution.
  • Check materials received against invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading; note breakage and discrepancies in quantity, model, etc.
  • Pick supplies from shelves to fill requisitions; lift and carry supplies when necessary.
  • Keep storage facilities (storerooms) clean and orderly.
  • Maintain perpetual inventories and detailed inventory records.
  • Work in Maximo.
  • Conduct cycle counts.
