Your Impact As a Production Planner, you will play a key role in aligning customer demand with production execution. This role is responsible for creating and managing production plans, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring materials and resources are available to meet business needs. You'll work cross-functionally with production, procurement, and engineering to drive efficiency and on-time delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and oversight for the Open Order Report
- Develop and drive system improvement for OOR (Open Order Report)
- Serve as the primary person to respond to customer emails and internal scheduling request from Customer Service and other functions
- Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand and service level targets
- Balance capacity, material availability, and labor constraints to optimize throughput
- Collaborate with procurement team to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Monitor inventory levels and drive actions to minimize excess and shortages
- Analyze demand trends, forecast changes, and adjust plans accordingly
- Communicate schedule changes, risks, and priorities to production and leadership teams
- Support S&OP / demand planning processes through data analysis and reporting
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to planning, scheduling, and material flow (e.g., standard work, 5S, flow optimization)
- Partner with manufacturing teams to resolve bottlenecks, constraints, and supply issues
- Support team leads in driving production plan, maximizing cell output. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain (preferred), Operations Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2-5+ years of experience in production planning, manufacturing, or supply chain
- Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems and scheduling principles
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a discrete manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing / continuous improvement principles (RBS, Kaizen, 5S)
- Experience with demand planning or S&OP processes
