Your Team:
The Office of Enforcement and Neighborhood Services (OENS) leads the agency's effort to work closely with other HPD divisions and outside community partners to identify buildings in distress, assess and develop appropriate strategies to address those properties and work closely with responsible owners to develop a plan to improve conditions and return buildings to firm financial footing and physical health. OENS uses enforcement tools within its Division of Code Enforcement, Housing Litigation Division, Emergency Operations and Enhanced Enforcement, and the Division of Neighborhood Preservation to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory obligations. The Office of Enforcement and Neighborhood Services is composed of seven divisions: Data Management & Technology (DMT), Division of Neighborhood Preservation (DNP), Administration & Internal Compliance (AIC), Housing Litigation Division (HLD), Division of Code Enforcement (DCE), and Emergency Operations and Enhanced Enforcement Division (EOD) and Division of Emergency Housing Services (EHS).
Your Impact:
Under direct supervision in the Division of Administration and Internal Compliance (AIC) in the Office of Enforcement and Neighborhood Services (OENS), the division would like to hire a Facilities Support/Community Associate.
Your Role:
Your role as Facilities Support/Community Associate for the Division of Administration and Internal Compliance (AIC), you will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Your Responsibilities:
Assist with monitoring mileage usage for the fleet of lead-funded vehicles and support coordination of vehicle-related responsibilities for ENS CD Program Units. Track vehicle registrations, New York State inspections, maintenance schedules, servicing, and repairs while reviewing and maintaining vehicle records to ensure accuracy, compliance, operational readiness, and maximum utilization of agency vehicles. Assist with loading and unloading supplies; distribute and pick up mail, materials, and equipment across OENS CD-funded units in the five boroughs; and pick up vendor orders as needed, ensuring timely service and maintaining accurate records of deliveries, pickups, distributions, and vehicle usage. Assist with monitoring and tracking the distribution of OMNY cards for both central and field CD-funded personnel. Process and maintain Department of Transportation permits for field staff assigned to ENS Lead Offices. Conduct research and gather data regarding the use, maintenance, and care of City-owned lead program vehicles and employees authorized to operate vehicles for official City business. Respond to telephone inquiries and written requests regarding vehicle usage, fleet activity, and related administrative matters. Research and assist with resolving moving and parking violations through the Department of Motor Vehicles and Department of Finance. Review EZ Pass invoices and usage reports to verify accuracy and ensure proper documentation of toll activity. Assist the Unit Supervisor with coordinating relocation activities for various OENS CD units, including office setup and logistical support. Monitor office supplies, equipment, and inventory to ensure adequate stock levels and proper distribution among units. Maintain organized records, tracking logs, and digital filing systems related to fleet operations, permits, maintenance, and inventory activities. Support administrative and operational assignments as needed and perform additional duties or special projects as assigned. Occasionally undertake special driving assignments for upper management including driving staff to and from meetings ensuring a high level of professionalism and confidentiality; Preferred skills: Computer Proficient, strong excel. Able to provide exceptional customer service in every interaction, representing the agency positively. Ability to lift and carry items as needed up to 20 lbs. Candidate must possess a valid and clean NYS driver's license.

High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or 2. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.
