Job Description
The Planner I supports production planning and execution by developing basic production schedules, managing ERP transactions, and actively driving work orders through the production process. This role serves as both a planning support resource and a floor-level expeditor, ensuring material, documentation, and work orders progress through Receiving, Inspection, Assembly, Test, and Shipping without delays. The Planner I plays a critical role in maintaining data accuracy while proactively identifying and resolving execution gaps that impact on-time delivery.
Compensation:
Minimum Salary $ 57,697 - Maximum Salary $ 70,707 Production Planning Support Assist in developing and maintaining production schedules aligned with MPS and customer demand. Create and release shop orders based on production priorities and material readiness. Support scheduling meetings with status updates, risks, and recovery inputs. Production Execution & Expediting Actively track and drive work orders through all stages of production to meet planned ship dates. Identify and resolve execution blockers such as: Material shortages Missing or incorrect documentation WIP transaction gaps Inspection or quality holds Coordinate across Production, Quality, and Materials to prevent jobs from stalling. Escalate risks early and support recovery actions to protect delivery commitments. Provide clear, simple status updates (e.g., on track, at risk, shipping today). Material & Inventory Coordination Review material availability against production schedules and escalate shortages. Partner with Buyers and Material Planning to ensure timely material flow. Support inventory targets aligned with production plans. ERP Execution & Data Integrity Perform critical ERP transactions with high accuracy (order creation, moves, completions, corrections). Ensure WIP accurately reflects physical status on the floor. Correct discrepancies between system and actual production status. WIP Visibility & Floor Engagement Maintain real-time visibility of WIP across assigned programs or areas. Physically engage on the production floor to verify status and progress. Support movement of jobs, kits, and documentation as needed to maintain flow. Reporting & Communication Provide daily status updates on priority jobs and escalations. Generate basic reports on shortages, past due orders, and execution gaps. Communicate effectively across cross-functional teams to drive alignment.Experience:
