Job Description

The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for making sure that purchasing and inventory requests are completed in a timely manner. They are also responsible for assisting the supply chain and purchasing teams to reduce supplier lead times and material costs. Supply chain coordinators also work directly with buyers and upper management, as well as customer service, inventory control, finance, and production staff. Additionally, they communicate with outside suppliers and customers. Primary Responsibilities may include the following: Responsible for the procurement of assigned Plant Industrial Material Coordinate the quoting process for industrial material spot buys Manage Industrial Material Blanket Purchase Order Processes Responsible for open and past due order resolution Resolution of quantity & receiving discrepancies Analyze inventory levels and identify opportunities to reduce min/max levels Identify, implement and track cost savings Coordinate approved new item set-ups in customer and SourcePRO systems Interface with manufacturer's in regards to procurement issues Vendor/Customer problem resolution Shipping and receiving issues Daily Internal Control & Sarbanes Oxley audits of receiving and disbursement transactions. Process AMEX or P-Card orders (if applicable) Manage plant keep fill programs, consignment programs, vending machines (if applicable) Monitor and resolve plant zero inventory pockets
