Our Production Planner works with the Sales Department and the Operations Department to schedule the work production. The Production Planner plans and maps out the work orders and manages the work order flow through the warehouse and helps manage the inventory through the usage of material.

Job Function:
Work Order Planning:
Organize work orders released to Operations for production scheduling. Plan stock for Operations to use on work orders. Map out cutting steps for Operations to follow. Release orders to the shop floor for production.
Management of Work Orders:
Plan the logistics of where and how the orders will flow through the warehouse. Status Work Orders with production code. Status Work Orders on daily shipping report. Calculate total square inches cut on each order. Maintain lead time and cutting schedule. Communicate with Sales Department on any quality issues. Communicate with Sales Department on any work order changes. Coordinate production schedule with the Operations Manager and Floor Supervisors. Attend regular production review meeting to facilitate on time deliveries. Update shop inventory processing in the inventory computer system (eSTEL PLAN)
Required Skills:
University or college diploma or equivalent industry work experience. Minimum 2 years' experience in aerospace quality metals industry or other related metals industry. Computer skills including Word, Outlook and Excel. Knowledge of Band Saws preferred. Ability to communicate well with others. Good mathematical skills and spatial recognition. Self-motivated and can act on own initiative. Experience working to targets and deadlines. Can quickly learn in complex industry. Adaptable and have a positive attitude towards change. Motivated, communicative and goal oriented. Ability to work overtime.
