Analyze production data and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, productivity, and qualityDevelop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demand and company goalsMonitor and adjust production schedules as needed to respond to changes in market conditions or customer needsCollaborate with supervisors and team leaders to ensure that production staff are aware of their tasks and responsibilitiesMaintain accurate records of production, including schedules and inventory levelsIdentify and resolve production-related issues, such as material shortages or equipment downtimeParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes and improve efficiency
Role:
The Demand Planning Team at Kalmbach Feeds is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Production Scheduler. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and managing production schedules, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring that products are produced on time and to the required quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about manufacturing, operations management, and process improvement.Primary Responsibilities:
Create and manage production schedules, considering factors such as material availability, labor capacity, sequencing protocols, and equipment constraintsCoordinate with various departments, including Purchasing, Nutrition, Customer Service, Transportation, Quality, Sales, and Customer Service.Analyze production data and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, productivity, and qualityDevelop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demand and company goalsMonitor and adjust production schedules as needed to respond to changes in market conditions or customer needsCollaborate with supervisors and team leaders to ensure that production staff are aware of their tasks and responsibilitiesMaintain accurate records of production, including schedules and inventory levelsIdentify and resolve production-related issues, such as material shortages or equipment downtimeParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes and improve efficiency
The Right Candidate:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelors degree in operations management, Business Administration, or a related field preferredMinimum 2 years of experience in production scheduling, operations management, or a related fieldStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and develop actionable insightsExperience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or similar softwareExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teamsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlinesStrong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyFamiliarity with data analytics tools, such as Excel and Power BI preferredExperience with automated scheduling software preferred About theCompany:
