Job Description

We are seeking a Supply Chain Specialist responsible for ensuring the reliable, on-time delivery of materials from suppliers to support manufacturing operations. This role manages supplier performance, material shortages, purchase order execution, and supply chain risks while working closely with Planning, Purchasing, and Operations to maintain uninterrupted production.
Salary:
$60,000-$75,000 Responsibilities Manage day-to-day supplier relationships after sourcing and purchase orders have been completed. Monitor supplier delivery performance and ensure materials arrive on time to support production schedules. Track supplier lead times, delivery commitments, and order quantities. Drive supplier recovery plans when delivery performance falls below expectations. Maintain accurate shortage reports with current supplier commitments and actionable updates. Resolve supply chain issues impacting production, including engineering, logistics, and invoicing concerns. Identify supply risks including capacity constraints, long lead-time materials, transportation delays, and quality issues. Develop and coordinate risk mitigation plans with suppliers and internal teams. Manage escalation activities for critical material shortages affecting production. Review and release purchase orders while ensuring order confirmations and delivery schedules remain accurate. Coordinate logistics activities, including shipment methods and carrier performance, to meet production requirements. Partner with Production Planning to support material readiness and Clear to Build requirements. Communicate supplier capacity constraints and delivery risks to Planning and Operations. Monitor supplier performance metrics including on-time delivery, shortages, and material availability. Lead supplier performance reviews and corrective action initiatives. Support continuous improvement projects focused on inventory visibility, supplier performance, and supply chain efficiency. Maintain accurate supply chain dashboards, shortage reports, and performance metrics. Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Materials Management, Supplier Management, or Logistics within a manufacturing environment. Experience working with ERP/MRP systems. Strong understanding of supplier scheduling, inventory management, material planning, and supply chain operations. Knowledge of lead times, minimum order quantities (MOQ), safety stock, and inventory planning strategies. Electronics manufacturing experience is preferred but not required. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel. Work Environment 100% onsite position in Perry, Ohio. Manufacturing environment requiring adherence to company safety policies and PPE requirements.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
