Job Description
Position Summary The Planner is responsible for coordinating and scheduling materials, production, and resources to support efficient operations and on-time delivery. This role works closely with purchasing, warehouse, and production teams to ensure proper inventory levels, accurate forecasting, and streamlined workflow. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain production and/or material plans based on customer demand and forecast Coordinate with purchasing to ensure timely availability of raw materials and supplies Monitor inventory levels and adjust plans to prevent shortages or excess stock Create and manage work orders, schedules, and timelines for production or service operations Communicate scheduling changes, delays, or issues to internal teams and leadership Analyze data to improve planning accuracy, efficiency, and cost control Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to support shipping and receiving schedules Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, inventory turns, and forecast accuracy Identify and resolve planning-related issues in a proactive manner For shift availability or further questions regarding this role, please contact PLI Staffing 216-440-6171.
