What is a Production Planner?

The Production Planner is responsible for developing and managing production schedules to ensure efficient manufacturing operations and on-time delivery of products. This role works closely with Materials, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Production teams to align demand with capacity. The position plays a critical role in optimizing workflow, minimizing disruptions, and ensuring balanced production planning.

What You Can Expect to Do as a
Production Planner:
Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand, capacity, and inventory levelsCoordinate with Materials, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to align production plansMonitor production progress and adjust schedules as neededAnalyze demand forecasts and production requirementsIdentify potential bottlenecks and proactively resolve scheduling conflictsMaintain accurate data within ERP and planning systemsCommunicate production plans and changes to relevant stakeholdersSupport inventory management and ensure appropriate stock levelsTrack key performance metrics related to scheduling and production efficiencyDrive continuous improvement in planning and scheduling processesWhat We Are Looking For in a
Production Planner:
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field preferred25 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain rolesExperience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferredStrong understanding of production planning and inventory conceptsExperience with ERP systems and planning toolsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentGood communication and coordination skillsWhy Join IP Corporation?
