Job Description

About the Role As a Warehouse Logistics Specialist, you will play a critical role in the seamless flow of materials by managing inventory accuracy and coordinating the movement of heavy steel products. You will leverage your expertise in material handling and data management to ensure our distribution operations remain efficient, safe, and highly productive. Responsibilities Coordinate the inbound and outbound movement of steel products via rail and flatbed transport to maintain optimal supply chain flow. Optimize warehouse storage layouts and update inventory databases to ensure real-time tracking and accessibility. Prepare shipments by verifying staging locations and resolving logistical discrepancies to meet delivery timelines. Maintain rigorous inventory integrity by performing regular cycle counts and reconciling logs against system reports. Document all operational activities and material movements accurately within our digital record-keeping systems. Perform general labor tasks, including parts cleaning and facility maintenance, to uphold a safe and organized work environment. Generate and analyze inventory reports using Excel to support data-driven decision-making. Qualifications Required Skills Proven commitment to workplace safety protocols and operational excellence. Strong collaborative skills with the ability to communicate effectively across teams. Proficiency in inventory control practices and database management. Demonstrated reliability and a strong work ethic in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills Hands-on experience operating overhead cranes and industrial forklifts. Previous background in heavy manufacturing or metal distribution environments. Technical proficiency in Excel for reporting and data entry tasks.
