Job Description
Job Overview Barchemy is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Load Coordinator to support daily logistics operations at our Hunker, PA facility. This role is responsible for coordinating freight movement, managing documentation, and serving as the communication hub between internal teams, carriers, and customers. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and ensures shipments are executed efficiently, accurately, and on time. Key Responsibilities Schedule and coordinate pickup and delivery appointments with carriers Dispatch daily orders and ensure timely execution of shipments Maintain accurate shipping documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and packing lists Track and monitor loads in transit, providing real-time updates to internal teams and customers Act as the primary point of contact between sales, operations, and carriers to resolve delays or issues Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies Support continuous improvement efforts to optimize shipping efficiency and reduce delays Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred 1-3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or warehouse operations Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook); experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) preferred Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a manufacturing or high-volume shipping environment Familiarity with freight scheduling systems or transportation management systems (TMS) Key Competencies Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Effective communicator and team collaborator Working Conditions Primarily office-based with regular interaction on the warehouse floor Fast-paced, high-volume environment with shifting priorities May require standing, walking, and occasional lifting in warehouse areas
