Fleet Routing Specialist Pittsburgh Transportation Group - Pittsburgh, PA Pittsburgh Transportation Group is hiring a full‑time Fleet Routing Specialist to support daily transportation operations and ensure service runs smoothly and on schedule. In this critical role, you will coordinate vehicle movements, assign drivers, plan efficient routes, and support shuttle and charter services to maintain safe, reliable, and efficient transportation. This position is well‑suited for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced operations environment and takes pride in keeping fleets moving efficiently. Schedule Monday - Friday | 3:30 AM - 11:30 AM Key Responsibilities of a
Fleet Routing Specialist:
Manage daily shuttle and charter routing operations Plan and coordinate transportation services in accordance with company policies and contract requirements Assist with weekly driver scheduling and make real‑time routing and operational adjustments Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, providing direction and operational support Monitor service performance and prepare daily operational and activity reports Assign vehicles and coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule inspections and repairs Communicate with customers regarding schedules, reservations, and service inquiries Process bookings, service changes, and cancellations accurately and efficiently Collaborate with Safety and Training teams to support regulatory compliance and operational standards Respond quickly and professionally to service disruptions, delays, or customer concerns Qualifications of a
Fleet Routing Specialist:
High school diploma or equivalent Two or more years of experience in transportation operations, dispatching, routing, or fleet coordination (preferred) Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively Clear, professional communication skills Dependable, proactive, and team‑oriented work style Strong commitment to service quality and customer satisfaction Why Join Pittsburgh Transportation Group?
