Job Summary
A global life sciences organization is hiring a Supply Chain Planner/Buyer to support reliable material supply and effective use of systems and resources in a site-based role. This position collaborates with supply chain planning and cross-functional teams to define and manage material supply schedules that meet production and customer demand, while driving inventory performance and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Identify and lead projects and initiatives to increase efficiencies, develop detailed resolution plans, and maintain customer delivery commitments and inventory targets
Develop alternative solutions for supply shortfalls impacting internal and external customers, including root cause identification and corrective action implementation
Independently manage complex procurement challenges using sound financial, operational, and business judgment in ambiguous environments
Develop complex supply scenarios, manage order transitions, and conduct supply reviews to enhance performance
Coordinate component forecasting and material ordering while maintaining supplier relationships
Ensure effective communication and collaboration across multiple levels of the supply chain
Support product lifecycle activities including launches, transfers, and divestment programs
Execute change management processes in accordance with regulatory and local requirements
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners
Maintain SAP planning parameters for the assigned area of responsibility
Utilize effective delegation to expand scope of influence
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business studies, computer science, industrial engineering, economics, or an equivalent qualification
10+ years of total professional experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Product Supply discipline (Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Procurement, or Quality) within the Life Science or FMCG industry
