JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective The job requires experience in planning and implementing the overall supply chain strategy. Identifying key bottlenecks and implementing solutions in a timely manner. Essential Functions Collaborate with Sales, operations and customer service teams. Determine Key supply chain KPIs Suggest solutions for process improvements Provide constructive feedback Work with Finance, Sales and Manufacturing teams to determine the best vendors and distributors Build and maintain a good relationship with our vendors. Promote the design, development, and implementation of purchasing and logistics solutions. Manage labor costs, personnel productivity, inventory levels, data accuracy and stocking strategies. Then measure and report on the effectiveness of the departmental activities and operations. Work closely with planning team to analyze Sales Volume and production lead-times, analyze inventory level (cycle and safety stocks), and inventory aging period to determine inventory replenishment on work order shortage. Continuously source and approve new vendors using market knowledge on certain product lines; negotiation for cost-effective contracts and pricing; Oversee vendor price comparison; issue RFPs when necessary and negotiate. Developing sourcing strategies and vendors price negotiation. Manage cost saving/reduction events and implement it all over company. Use ERP system to generate reports and schedules. Manage On time delivery with all clients/Vendor. Develop strong supplier relationship. Qualifications and Skills 1. B.S. degree or equivalent experience/education combination. Minimum of 3 years of related experience in planning/ Supplier development/Strategic sourcing Proficiency with MS Office and/or ERP systems (Shoptec E2) Ability to work in an industrial environment with proper personal protective equipment including a respirator. Organizational skills. Strong interpersonal skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Keen eye for detail Physical Demands and Working Conditions The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While on the shop floor, there is intermittent exposure to noise, grease, dust, oil, grime, and chemicals and there is frequent exposure to extreme temperatures. Working around moving equipment requires caution as well as use of safety apparel. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust. Work requires frequent use of large motor skills, standing for long periods, use of hand to finger, handle or feel and frequent walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, twisting, and turning. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. Travel Travel is infrequent, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be required.
