Position Purpose This position serves as a representative for Facilities Operations & Maintenance (FO&M) supporting the delivery of capital projects. The coordinator will be involved in all phases of the construction projects including planning, design and construction, with emphasis on commissioning, project turnover and acceptance, warranty and postconstruction review. This involvement is intended to ensure project delivery goals are aligned with operational goals. Specifically, the Coordinator will work with the project team to ensure that construction projects are delivered operationally ready, fully functional, Dartmouthcompliant, and maintainable. They will ensure operations visibility on key project activities, with a focus on efficiently completing necessary design and construction reviews and transition activities. Description Required Qualifications Education and Yrs Exp Associates plus 3 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Associates or Bachelor's (preferred) degree in engineering, construction management, facilities management, building maintenance or similar field and a minimum of three (3) or more years of experience in commercial, industrial or institutional facilities design, construction maintenance or equivalent combination of education and experience. Both design and field knowledge desirable.
Knowledge of building systems, HVAC & Controls, Plumbing/Mechanical Piping, Electrical, Water, Chilled Water, Steam, Building Systems.
Ability to read and understand architectural and engineering drawings including process flow diagrams, logic diagrams, specifications, and materials and equipment submittals.
Excellent attention to detail, and analysis and decisionmaking skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of audiences, including University management, faculty, trade employees, supervisors, staff from other departments, students, and others.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work across departments and manage multiple priorities. Preferred Qualifications Experience with facilities, construction, or operations preferred.
Experience with Procore, ebuilder (Trimble), PlanOn, Bluebeam, MS Project
Experience in a complex campus environment
Experience in commissioning and/or project management
