Exempt - FT Kids In Need Foundation (KINF) is a national not-for-profit organization dedicated to creating equitable learning environments for underserved students and teachers across the U.S. Our mission is to ensure that every Pre-K-12 student has the essential tools and resources they need to succeed in school. Through our distribution of school supplies, support for teachers, and investment in educational initiatives, we strive to make a meaningful impact on the lives of teachers and students across the country. As we continue to expand our reach and deepen our impact, we are seeking a talented, self-driven Logistics Associate to join our high-performing team. Position Overview The Logistics Associate will be assisting the Director of Logistics in creating high-quality logistics and data support and analytics for the Kids In Need Foundation (KINF). By focusing on shipping and business solutions, the candidate will provide logistics support to our constituents (donors, beneficiaries) during the back-to-school busy season. Further, the candidate will assist with data management including systems selection, data setup, data reporting and overall support of our logistics yearly KPI's and performance tracking. The ideal candidate will be a flexible and creative self-starter, who is just as comfortable working autonomously as with a team. This candidate should work well in a high-performance expectation environment, bringing enthusiasm and passion for the mission to the office and offering up new ideas and solutions. The position offers a flexible work schedule and is a hybrid role allowing for a combination of days in the Little Canada office and working from home each week (after 30 days of employment). Key Responsibilities Logistics Support Coordinate transport of KINF National Programs from KINF's warehouse to local schools, non-profits, and other destinations, as assigned. Track inbound and outbound shipments to/from KINF warehouse, as assigned. Ensure correct and timely loading of trucks/movement, accurate order processing, timely deliveries, and customer satisfaction. Partner closely with Impact Partnership and Warehouse team to support incoming donor shipments of Gift-in-Kind donations. Communicate the timing of shipments, both inbound and outbound, to internal and external constituents. Resolve shipping issues that may occur between carriers and end-recipients of KINF products. Coordinate donations of inventory from donors to affiliates, as assigned. Working with multiple shipping systems including a variety of Transport Management Systems as well as standalone shipping programs (FedEx Ship Manager, UPS Worldship) Work closely with our partners and warehouse team in order to make sure fulfillment is happening on a timely schedule. Resolve issues with schools and shipping companies when errors occur, be the first point of contact to make sure that the recipients have the best experience possible Managing data input for shipping analytics and reporting from multiple platforms Sales force, Netsuite and TMS. Must walk and be able to oversee outgoing floor operations with an eye for detail and upholding standard operating procedures Other duties This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed and is not intended to be a comprehensive list of all duties, responsibilities, or qualifications. Minimum Education & Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, and dispatch Experience in procurement Experience in logistics software and inventory management systems Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams) with strong analytical skillset Salesforce experience preferred NetSuite experience preferred Work Environment & Physical Demands Combination of office and on-site event work Ability to sit for a long period of time Noise level may be low to moderate Ability to lift and move materials up to 20 pounds - bending, lifting, twisting and stretching Travel during the Back-to-School season to support partner events The role requires participation in annual event setup and teardown (ability to lift and move materials up to 30 pounds - bending, lifting, twisting and stretching)
