JOB SUMMARY

At Vital Transportation Solutions, the Logistics Coordinator is responsible for sourcing and qualifying carriers to fulfill service orders. You will work directly with carriers to build relationships that support long-term customer needs. The Logistics Coordinator role is crucial to helping accounts operate efficiently on a day-to-day basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Source and Select Carriers in accordance with Vital's processes and procedures
• Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with carrier partners
• Negotiate rates for various types of shipments
• Proactively monitor transit through track and trace

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS ROLE

• High school diploma or GED equivalency
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to multi-task
• PC computer proficiency required
• Experience working with customers in a service role is preferred
