Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (1-Hour Lunch)Job Summary The Expeditor - Imports supports the supply chain team by tracking and expediting imported purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery. This role works closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders to maintain shipment visibility, resolve delays, and support the import process from origin through final delivery. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Track international purchase orders from supplier shipment through final delivery. Monitor key transit milestones, including factory ship dates, port departures, customs clearance, and domestic transportation. Communicate regularly with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to verify shipment status and resolve issues. Identify delayed or at-risk shipments and escalate concerns to Buyers or Supply Chain Managers. Update shipment status, delivery dates, and notes within ERP and tracking systems. Review shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading, for accuracy and completeness. Support import compliance by ensuring required documentation is received and properly routed. Coordinate with internal teams, including Purchasing, Inventory, Logistics, and Accounts Payable, to support receiving and payment processes. Maintain organized shipment records and provide timely status updates to stakeholders. Required Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in expediting, logistics, supply chain, import/export operations, or a related field. Basic understanding of international shipping and import processes. Strong communication, follow-up, and organizational skills. High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing imported products via ocean freight and/or air freight. Familiarity with Incoterms, customs clearance procedures, and international freight documentation. Experience using ERP systems or supply chain tracking platforms. Previous experience working with freight forwarders and customs brokers. Work Environment Office or hybrid work environment. Standard business hours with occasional flexibility required during peak shipping periods. Temporary assignment with potential for extension based on business needs.
