Logistics Specialist APM Steam Woburn, MA Job Details Full-time $57,000 - $65,000 a year 10 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Life insurance Referral program Retirement plan Qualifications Sales management systems proficiency CRM system proficiency Productivity software Escalation handling Full Job Description APM Steam provides industrial steam system services to customers nationwide, specializing in steam trap surveys, repairs, and system optimization. Our field technicians operate on-site and, in the field, relying on a responsive, well-organized office team to keep operations running efficiently. Headquartered in Woburn, MA, we are a growing organization that recently acquired Aquatomic Products, a water treatment company in VA. As both organizations integrate, this role will play a central part in managing scheduling across both operations. Position Overview The Logistics Specialist serves as the operational anchor for our field work, managing projects from initial sale through completion alongside our Senior and Support Logistics Specialists. Core responsibilities include building and maintaining the schedule, coordinating technicians and resources, and responding decisively when conditions change. This is a high-velocity role where technicians may call out, parts can be delayed, and urgent customer requests are routine. It is built for someone who gets energy from a fast moving, constantly shifting environment and sees a morning full of curveballs as the good part of the job, not the hard part. The right candidate meets these changes with composure and creative problem-solving. Beyond daily execution, this role offers real opportunity to build lasting processes that turn reactive challenges into repeatable routines, making it an outstanding fit for a motivated professional ready to contribute during a period of growth. Responsibilities Manage field projects end-to-end, from point of sale through project completion, using Salesforce to schedule, confirm, and track all work. Develop and maintain the field schedule by confirming labor requirements, manpower, and timelines, and coordinating technicians, subcontractors, and equipment accordingly. Exercise sound judgment in all scheduling decisions, balancing technician utilization, sales and engineering direction, pre-project requirements, parts availability, site familiarity, geography, and skill alignment. Serve as the central point of coordination among internal teams; ensure all parties are informed and aligned as schedules evolve. Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in Salesforce, including schedule changes and relevant project communications. Respond in real time to scheduling disruptions, rerouting technicians and adjusting plans to protect both customer commitments and billable utilization. Support the integration of Aquatomic Products scheduling processes as the two businesses come together. Assist with pre-project administrative tasks, including site access coordination, badging, paperwork, and travel arrangements. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency by documenting processes, standardizing workflows, and implementing automation or technology solutions where appropriate. Qualifications Two or more years of experience in scheduling, dispatch, project coordination, or a comparable fast-paced operational role. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities with precision and attention to detail. Sound judgment and the confidence to make decisions with incomplete information, along with the awareness to escalate appropriately. A self-directed, ownership-oriented approach as this role requires initiative, not instruction. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with a CRM such as Salesforce; familiarity with QuickBooks is a plus. Willingness to commute to Woburn, MA for trainings/team meetings.
